Malaysian Judo Team




We are pleased with the warm reception received by our Judo Team in Ulaanbattar Mongolia. Our Pelapis Judo team is there to train for a month with the Mongolian National Team in and also compete in the Judo World Cup "Chinggis Khaan's Cup". All the best to them and we hope we will hear some good news from the competition.

The local media in Ulaanbattar cover our participation in the competition and this will promote Malaysia to the Mongolian.

MONGOLIA PREPARES FOR JUDO WORLD CUP

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ On Thursday, the Mongolian Judo Federation (MJF) started selling tickets for the Judo World Cup named "Chinggis Khaan's Cup" to run from October 31 to November 1 in Ulaanbaatar. It is organized under auspices of Mongolia's President Ts.Elbegdorj.

According to the organizers, the ticket costs MNT 125 thousand. Besides it, reporters that want to cover the competitions are expected to pay USD 100 entrance fee. As of today, teams from more than 20 countries applied for participating in the competitions.

Judoists of Czech Republic and Malaysia have recently come in the host nation. They already started their training in the "B" training hall of the Central Sports Palace. Our 56 judoists of the national selected team are training in the Olympic training center in Erdenet.

The size of prize fund of the Chingis Khaan's Cup is become equal with that of World Championships. So, a winner will receive USD 3,000, a silver medalist--USD 1,500 and a bronze medalist--USD 1,000. The Cup and medals have been made in the Republic of Korea.

Meanwhile, repair is being performed in the Central Sports Palace to receive world top judoists. A commission of International Judo Federation will arrive here to get acquainted with the preparation for the World Cup.

Malaysian youths second best

15th October, Jakarta: Malaysian youths were second best when four of them finished second to fifth positions to Hong Kong's Michael Mak in the Boy's Under-21 finals of the 2nd Ancol Open while Hurul Ainul took third spot in the Girl's division.


Malaysia's Syimir Abdul Razak set the opening pace with a superb 223 to lead Singapore's Ng Chiew Pang by just 1 pin with Mohd Haziq Sahli third a further 7 pins away as Muhd Amirrul Afif and Khoo Beng Khai kept close company.

But three sizzling games of 279, 211 and 274 from Michael Mak put the Hong Kong 15-year-old wonder kid way in front to lead Aris Ardilla by 92 pins while Syimir dropped to third. Despite Syimir re-taking over second spot, Mak was simply too good for the Malaysians as he romp home a comfortable victory with 2347.

Four Malaysian youths took up second to fifth positions with Aris Ardilla finished second with 2218 and early pace-setter, Syimir Abdul Razak third with 2138. Khoo Beng Khai and Muhd Amirrul Afif posted 2050 and 2049 for fourth and fifth positions.

Other Malaysian youths, Mohd Haziq Sahli, Adrian Charles Dragon and Tengku Muhd Yasser could only manage 10th to 12th positions respectively.


Meanwhile, Hurul Ainul had a great start in the Girl's Under-21 finals when she lead for the first five games with Macau Open youth champion, Tannya Roumimper of Indonesia in second, 41 pins adrift.

But two poor games of 162 and 182 dropped her to second as newly-crowned Women's Grade A Masters champion, Clara Lau of Singapore shot to the front. Two massive games of 244 and 245 in the seventh and ninth gave the Singaporean a lead of 102 pins with the recovering Hurul.

Lau cruised to another convincing victory with 2050 with Indonesia's Jessica Florencio storming home with 257 and 212 to snatch second spot with 1976. Hurul hung on to third spot with 1971.

Other Malaysian youth girls, Fatin Hazwani, Hee Kar Yen, Jerusha Chan and Dina Nur Nadia finished sixth, eighth and tenth respectively.

This is the 2nd installation of Pelapis Carnival organized by Pelapis Branch with the cooperation of USPTN Melaka and Event Branch. This carnival supposed to be organized in August but had to postponed due to H1N1 epidemic.

KLINIK LOMPAT BERGALAH PULAU PINANG







Pole vault event start to flourish under Bakat Khas program in SAAS Kajang. We manage to get good Rusian coaches to help us built up the pole structure in this country by organizing many clinic to promote and introduce the event to the school children and coaches. Cikgu Manshahar was originally involved in hurdle and jumps event rope in into the program and become the apprentice under the Rusian Coach. After more the 10 years under study, he been entrust to develop his own group and this allow him to prove that Malaysian also can become expert in technical event.

We encourage more state to organize more clinic to develop more pole vaulter since the number start declining under the Sukan Teras program. Congratulation to USPTN Penang for their pro active attitude and organizing the pole vaulter clinic.

Seramai 30 orang pelajar berumur 13 - 18 tahun sekitar bandar Georgetown telah menyertai menyertai Klinik Pembangunan Olahraga - Lompat Bergalah pada 10 Oktober yang lalu. Program ini adalah anjuran bersama USPTN, Majlis Sukan Negeri, Persatuan Sukan Negeri dan juga ISN Satelit Negeri.
Program seumpama ini semestinya adalah untuk mencari bakat-bakat baru yang boleh diserap ke Program Pelapis Negeri. Klinik dikendalikan sepenuhnya oleh Ketua Jurulatih Pelapis kebangsaan MSN iaitu Coach Manshahar yang dijemput khas bagi tujuan ini. Turut hadir melapangkan masa bagi membantu serta memberi inspirasi kepada peserta-peserta adalah atlet Lompat Bergalah Negara Cik Roslinda Samsu.

Dengan kepakaran, pengalaman dan tunjuk ajar daripada coach Manshahar dan bantuan daripada Roslinda, para peserta dilihat gigih mempelajari asas dan teknik yang betul dalam acara ini. Dengan kerjasama dan sokongan yang baik daripada agensi-agensi pelaksana, Klinik Pembangunan seperti ini akan terus diadakan dalam usaha mencari 'mutiara' negeri & negara yang akan terus menyinar diperingkat antarabangsa.

Penang continue to do their part in developing gymnastic arstistic in Malaysia by organizing 2nd TID to identify new gymnast. We wish all the best to them and wait for Penang to become power house in gymnastic soon.

Sukacita dimaklumkan, Pada 10hb Oktober 2009 satu sesi pencarian bakat peringkat kedua telah dijalankan di Akademi Gimnastik Pulau Pinang. Peserta hanya melibatkan peserta lelaki berumur 4 hingga 5 tahun sahaja.

Seramai 15 peserta daripada 25 peserta yang telah terpilih dari peringkat saringan telah menghadirkan diri bagi mengikuti program tersebut yang telah dikendalikan oleh jurulatih MSNPP iaitu En Fong Kok Seng.

Sesi ini bertujuan bagi mengenalpasti peserta yang layak untuk dipilih menjalani latihan gimnastik di bawah program pembangunan sukan gimnastik di P.Pinang sebelum diserap ke program Pelapis Negeri. Sebagai makluman,hanya 5 peserta yang terbaik sahaja akan terpilih mengikuti program ini.

Sepanjang sesi ini berlansung, tiada sebarang masalah yang wujud dan aktiviti berjalan dengan lancar.

Kem Jati Diri Pelapis Terengganu Siri 2 di Pulau Kapas








How sports can be develop in the state are all depend on the cooperation between agency. With close relationship between these agency, all parties can share resources and funding which at the end will benefits all athletes, coaches and association and these will translate into GOLD in SUKMA.

We are very happy when Terengganu USPTN want to organize this camp and rope in few agency such as MSN Terengganu, ISN Terengganu and other to help interm of experties and fund.

Seramai 45 orang atlet Pelapis Terengganu telah berkampung selama 2 hari di Pulau Kapas pada 2 Oktober hingga 4 Oktober 2009 bagi tujuan menghadiri kem Jati Diri Pelapis Terengganu yang julung kalinya di adakan. Ucapan terima kasih yang tidak terhingga kepada Cawangan Pelapis Majlis Sukan Negara, Pusat Satelit ISN Terengganu serta Majlis Sukan Negeri Terengganu kerana membantu di dalam penganjuran kem ini dan juga penyaluran bantuan peruntukan. Empat sukan dipilih iaitu Memanah, Berbasikal, Menembak dan Pencak Silat. Kem bagi sukan Angkat Berat telahpun diadakan baru-barui ini di Kampung Pasir Raja, Hulu Dungun, Terengganu.
