Team Malaysia @ Singapore Open 2010



Hi Guys,

After 2 days of qualifying attempts, Malaysian bowling icon, Shalin Zulkifli took over the lead in the overseas' pool from overnight leader, Zandra Aziela with a convincing score line of 943 total. Shalin started off with lines of 258, 172, 224 and in her fourth game, reeled off with 10 consecutive strikes. On her 11th frame, Shalin whacked a too solid pocket to leave pin 9 unscatched and ended with a 289 game. Zandra Aziela was on track to give a good account on 931 total and placed 2nd. Seasoned campaigner, Wendy Chai also lift up her game with a commendable 898 total to place on 4th place. Sin Li Jane was picking up momentum to finsih 4th in the mixed pool on 841 total. At the time of writing, Esther Cheah, Zatil Iman and Siti Safiyah were still bowling their qualifying attempts.             

In the Men's Open division, youngster, Adrian Ang made up ground to improve his standing to 4th position in the Overseas' pool on 945 total while Aaron Kong maintained his 2nd position on 970 total. Kang Bo Long gave a promising performance with 932 total for a 6th position while lanky Syafiq Ridhwan stayed on course with 914 total. Zulmazran Zulkifli, Alex Liew, Daniel Lim, Nur Aiman, Zaid Izlan and Kelvin Keong were still bowling in their qualifying attempts.         

In the Youth Division, Chan Wei Siang keeps the Malaysian "Jalur Gemilang" flying high with a remarkable 907 series. Wei Siang gave a polish display with lines of 249, 258, 246 & 154 to lead the field of 24 qualifiers. Team mate, Aliff Imran was still trying to qualify for a berth.
