10th Asian Junior & Cadet Karate Championship 2010

Medal tally result of our Malaysia Contingent in the 10th Asian Junior & Cadet Karate Championship 2010, which successfully organised by The Karatedo Federation of Hong Kong, China Limited from 5th-8th of August 2010. The Competition Venue is at Ma On Shan Sports Centre. The number of participants is around 680 from 28 countries. Iran was the Overall Champion with 11 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals & 7 Bronze Medals, this is the first time this Muslim Country was sending their Female Athletes to take part.

For your information, Malaysia is ranked 5th in this championship with 2 Gold Medals & 7 Bronze Medals. The Malaysian medallists are as below:

Gold Medallists :
1)Ms. Sharmila Female Junior Kumite +59 kg)
2)Ms. Shree Sharmini(Female Under 21 Kumite +60 kg)

Bronze Medallists:
1)Ms. Khaw Yee Voon(Female Cadet Individual Kata)
2)Mr. Emmanuel Leong(Male Junior Individual Kata)
3)Female Team Kata(Ms. Khaw Yee Voon, Ms. Celine Lee Xin Yi, Ms. Sek Jiawen)
4)Male Team Kata(Mr. Hoe Thomson, Mr. Loh Chun Sheng, Mr.Choo Kah Hung)
5)Ms. Nurhazerah Abd Malik(Female Cadet Kumite -54 kg)
6)Mr. R Yugenthiran(Male Junior Kumite -55 kg)
7)Ms. Sakila Salni(Female Under 21 Kumite -60 kg)
