NATIONAL JUNIOR INTER STATE TEAM BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010

THURSDAY, 5 AUGUST 2010 - On the 1st day of the National Junior Inter State Badminton Championships 2010 at the Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara saw a stiff fight this morning between Perak and Kedah which eventually won by Perak with a score of 6-5. At one stage Kedah was leading 4-3 taking all the 3 Men's Single matches at stake, 1 Women's Single and wrap up with another Women's Double before bowing down in all the rest of the matches. In another match played this morning Kuala Lumpur has not difficulty in overcoming Selangor with a score of 7-4.

A total of 11 States, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur and Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya participated in this year National Junior Inter State Badminton Championships 2010. The absentees for the last tournament for this year which involved the Junior age group are Perlis and Kelantan.

In the afternoon, Putrajaya takes on Negeri Sembilan whereby Pulau Pinang is up against Pahang and to wrap up the afternoon session before going for a break Melaka will meet Sarawak.

The championships beings today and will end on the 8 August 2010 and all matches are played at the Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara from 9.00 am until 7 pm.
