3rd Test - Project 2013 vs Poland U 21
6.00pm
Poznan Academy Of Sports Centre
Result: Project 2013 4 - 1 Poland U 21
1st half:
Both teams started the game with cautiously as the Polish just need a draw to win the Test Series. However the Project's not ready to throw in the towel just yet and determine to win this match before wrap up the Poland Tour. The Project's earned 3 PC's in the 1st in 14th, 17th and 23rd min however they failed to score. Till the breather it's still level between the 2 teams.
2ndhalf:
The Polish erned their 1st PC in 37th min but failed to take advantge from it and in the 42nd min Firhan Ashaari gave the Project's the lead through a FG followed by Syamim Yusof in 44th mis gave Project's 2nd goal from a delighted counter attack move., Polish have the oppurtunity to reduce the dedficit in 46th min when they eared their 2nd PC's but failed from direct attempt. From another slick combination between Amir Farid, Firhan Ashaari and Amir Farid, the Project's get the 3rd goals scored by Firhan Ashaari his 2nd in the match. In 56th min the Polish manage to reduce the deficit from a FG but the p[roject's have a last say in the mat5ch when in the 63rd min this time through Amir Farid FG. In dying min of the game the Polish earned a PC but the Project's defence stood firm.
Overall, much better performance by the boys espcially in the 2nd half where they took their chances well. They too manage to increase and mantain their lead not like 2 games before against the Polish. The forward movement was better and the midfield manage to win the ball in their area resulted to a few counter attack goals.
Even the Polish apply aggresive and rough tactics, the boys manage to overcome it and not easily been push away. The spirit was excellent.
Never the less, the 3 Test matches with the Polish is a success considering the Polish had with them 12 Former Junior World Cuppers that beat Malaysia last year and for the fact that they are suppose to be in a good condition to participate in the U 21 European Championship this coming 23rd of July in Poland. On the hand the Project's Squad not having all of the best players available.
We left to Amsterdam after the match by train and the train was delay by 2 hours. Took us about 13 hours to reach Amsterdam.

8.00pm
Athena HC Pitch
Result: Project 2013 5 - 2 Athena HC (Seniors)
Athena HC played in the DIV 2 in Holland Hockey League. Actually is a very long and tiring day for the boys as we reach Amsterdam from Poznan at 3pm after 13 long hours traveling by train. By the time we check in at our Hostel we have to leave for the game. We were hosted by the Athena HC for a dinner before the game.
1st Half: The Athena HC stuned the Project's by scoring the 1st goal in as early as 3rd min through a FG. In the 8th min the Project's earned a PC but direct attempt by Mohd Sabri failed to find the net. In the 10th min Joel Samuel Van Huizen open the account for the Project's through a FG. The Project's earn their 2nd PC in the 14th min but again they fail to take the lead. However, in the 33rd min Mohd Rashid manage to give the Project's the lead through a FG and the score maintain till the end of the 1st half.
2nd half
The Projec' increase the lead through Amir Farid in the 40th min and Syamim Yusof in 42nd min both from FG attempt. Athena manage to reduce the deficit in 47th min and Syamim Yusof scored his 2nd and the 5th goal for the Poject's in 67th min.
The Project's earned 4 PC's opposed to 2 PC's for Athena.
The player's handle the situation very well even after long journey and not enough rest they still manage to overcome and produce a reasonable good performance. Their effort was excellence.
That's for now will update soonest.
Thanks.
