Hi Guys,
After enduring 14 hours of flight time with a stop-over at Amsterdam, Team Malaysia arrived safely in Helsinki, Finland this morning at 10:35am local time. The time difference is 5 hours behind Malaysia. Upon arrival, we found 3 pieces of our bowling equipment were missing and a report was lodged with the airport authority. We were then informed that these 3 equipment were off loaded in Amsterdam and would be send to our hotel later today.
Team Malaysia were given a surprise welcome reception by Cik Nur Eliza Jemal Zainal, Second Secretary of our Malaysian Embassy in Helsinki. She was present with her staff to welcome our team delegation at the airport. "Ribuan terima kasih", Cik Nur Eliza.
Team Malaysia was the shuttled for a 20 minutes drive to our official hotel, Radisson Blu Seaside Hotel. Upon check-in, Team meeting was conducted by BC Cheah in his room on our mission for this World Youth Championships 2010.
Later in the day, our team took a walk to the neighbourhood mall to purchase our sundries. All team members were advised to rest for the day.
