This is second training camps we organize to develop more diver in this country. all state are required to identify 6 diver at age of 7 and this group will be exposed to systematic training program in the state.

AYG UPDATES: MALAYSIAN PARTICIPATION

Yes finally the top management make a final decision not to sent the rest of contingent to participation at AYG Singapore. This is due to the directive from Education Ministry not allowing student to participate in overseas tournament because of H1N1 (swine flu). All athletes and official will be inform accordingly.

For the record we still participate in AYG but in a small number. Only sailing team is there now after football team lost in the first round and came back on Friday.

LITTLE ATHLETIC WALAA/SSC/MSSM 2009

As a tradition Malaysia will hos this competition alternately with Singapore while Australia will organize every year. This competition goes back as early as 1989 when the tri nation competition first held in Australia. Since then the competition grew strongly and some of the athletes participate in this competition became the national athlete and some proceed to Olympic level. Most of the current national athlete participate in this tournament when they are under 15. We hope that this competition will continue to provide avenue for U15 athlete in this country to participate in high level competition.

The first Malaysian medal came from high jump. Mohd Azly Gazali broke the previous meet record by jumping 1.93cm compare to 1.90cm


Malaysia 4X100m boy U14 also stamp their mark to by smashing previous records with 44.17s. The previous mark was 44.60s. Well don boys.

AYG UPDATES: Press Conference

We tried all channel to get information in black and white regarding decision made by Education Ministry on postponing athlete from school to participate in overseas tournament. Based on the statement in the newspaper today across the board there no mentioning about AYG participation.

We hope that top management in both ministry can make decision soon enough because the first group will travel to Singapore on Sunday. We will abide any decision made by the government on this.

AYG UPDATES: Briefing Session

Most of the athlete and official plus some parent attended this afternoon briefing session. Few so pointer given to the athlete by the secretariat. My Chua as usual putting a lot of effort to give detail to all participant in order enlighten them with the real situation in Singapore during AYG. We also manage to get Dr. Anuar Suun to brief all athletes and official regarding H1N1 do's and don't. With Dr. Anuar one's never have to sleep.

Sailing Team already in Singapore for early training session and we hope they can settle down fast to overcome any difficulties ahead of the games. Sadly to say our football team already finished their games and on the way to Kuala Lumpur.

TSM GOLF CHALLENGE

GAVIN Kyle Green and Ainil Johani Bakar triumphed at the TSM Golf Challenge 2009 yesterday, winning scholarships to hone their skills and become better players. Gavin won a RM40,000 golf scholarship which will allow him to enrol in a reputable foreign golfing academy to improve his game while Ainil Johani, whose victory is her third, received a golfing scholarship valued at RM20,000. Both received their trophies and prizes from Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at Kelab Golf Negara Subang.

This morning at 7.00am, all athletes and coaches from Elite and Pelapis Kebangsaan Programme who stayed at Casa MSN and SSBJ attended this assembly.
All the achivements were announced including our steeplechase runner who broke national record last week.

Our football team start the campaign in AYG by beating D.P.R Korea 1-0 on Monday and hopefully they will overcome the powerful Thailand in today games.

We were advised to get this flu shot by the organizer before leaving to AYG. Luckily ISN managed to get this vaccine ASAP because of limited stock. Shooting athletes and coaches were the earliest take the shot. All the shooting athletes check in earlier in Casa and ready for training.

TID RHYTHMIC IN PERLIS

Our USPTN Perlis working quietly in lurk of shadow planning and doing TID for rhythmic gymnastic in May and June. Several times we tried to promote the sports to the masses there but always fail in vain.

Lucky with the new coach Afiqah Anati Bt Mohd Adil, the program can start with a renewed hopes. Five school involved with during this TID program which is done in cooperation of Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Perlis and Majlis Sukan Negeri Perlis. They managed to identified 54 new gymnast who are talented and committed to go trough rigours training program later.

MELAKA OPEN - DAY 1

Good news from Melaka. Our Pelapis Kebangsaan athlete Melinder Kaur broke national record for 3000 steeple chase this afternoon by clocking 11:11.05. Melinder hail from Penang and train under sir entheren and master trappadi since 2007. With the right attitude and committed to do well, Melinder rose from school runner and become our national champion. Few athlete also stamp their mark during this competition by setting new games record. Well done you all.
