Gavin Kylee Green (16 year old) dan Joanne Akep Siran Lagan (17 year old) won the title in their respective category at the Malaysian Amateur Closed 2009 held in Kinrara Golf Club, KL on 5-7 May 2009.
Gavin also won title for men category at Suajana Kurnia Amateur Open 2009 on 27-29 May 2009 held in Saujana Golf Resort, Subang.
Kenneth de Silva won the Sarawak Amateur Open 2009 in Damai Golf & Country Club, Kuching, Sarawak on 24-26 April 2009.
