The 20 years old Penangite was found collapsed in his car parked in front of CASA 1, MSN, Bukit Jalil. Haji Osman and Dr. Jas tried to revive the victim on the way to Hospital Serdang. However, Beng Khai was pronounced death officially at Serdang Hospital around 1:00am, Thursday October 13, 2011.
Khoo Beng Khai, a Pelapis Kebangsaan athlete, was recently invited for the SEA Games 2011 selection roll-off and was one of the potentials knocking at the door of the National Elite squad.
Beng Khai's major achievements were the Boys' Champion of the MILO Junior All-Stars 2010 and a member of the winning Team Gold medal in Asian Youth Championship 2010.
