A real good day for the team as we won 3 out of the four finals that we contested. Nur Aliah was the real surprise as she beat Cheng Nga Ching of HK who was the top seed and never lost to any of the Malaysians. Aliah raised her game today and played exceptionally well and got her just reward by winning in 5 to give us a great start.

Siva and Zoe was up next and this was so close with Zoe playing really well to go 2-0 up. Sivasangari managed to win the 3rd but was struggling in the 4th as Zoe managed to reach matchball. Sivasangari saved it and managed to win 12-10 to force a 5th. A similar story in the 5th where Zoe again had matchballs a few times and just could not close it and that allowed Sivasangari to close it 13-11. Hard luck Zoe and congrats to Sivasangari!
Gurshan was up next and he gave it a real good go. He won the 1st but Kush upped his game to lead 2-1. Gurshan staged a strong fight back and won the 4 with the 5th neck to neck. Gurshan managed to get an 8-6 and 9-7 lead but Kush kept his composure and played some brilliant squash to win it 11-9 and winning the Under 17 title. Another one so close yet so far.

Yow was next on and he was in total control against the Jordanian and won easily. The rest of the players won their matches to finish 5th except Addeen and Eugene who finished 6th and 9th respectively.

We had to rush back to the hotel immediately after Yow's match to check out and go to the airport and missed the prize giving ceremony in the process due to our early flight out of Kish Island.
