a) Team Leader Meeting – at 07:00 at Broadway Cinema
Team Leader Mr Rosmaizam Abdullah attended the Team Leaders’ Meeting with Mr Chua Hong Tam from the Team Malaysia’s Secretariat
b) Doctor (Medical Briefing)– 08:30 at Broadway Cinema
Dr Jasmiza Jame attended the Medical /Team Doctor’s Briefing which was chaired by Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dr. M. Jegathesan, Chairman of CGF Medical Committee, who was the former Deputy President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia.
c) Athletics – 12:00 (National Sports Centre – Squash Centre)
Tan Kok Lim, the coach of the athletics team attended the meeting.
d) Badminton –– 10:00 (National Sports Centre Meeting Facility (squash court area)
Yap Kim Hock and Woon Sze Mei attended the meeting. Malaysia badminton players are seeded in all the events:
a) Zulfadli Zulkiffli – Seeded 1, Boys Single
b) Soong Joo ven – Seeded 5/8, Boys Single
c) Nelson Heg & Teo Ee Yi – Seeded 1, Boys Doubles
d) Sonia Chia – Seeded 3 /4- Girls Singles
e) Yang Li Lian – Seeded 5/8 – Girls Singles
f) Chow May Kuan & Lee Meng Yean – Seeded 1, Girls Doubles
g) Nelson Heg & Lee Meng Yean – Seeded 3/ 4 – Mixed Doubles
e) Cycling
i) Registration for competitors – 10:00-11:30 CYG Games Office , Villa Marina Arcade
ii) Team Manger’s Meeting – 15:15 – Villa Marina Broadway Cinema
Junaidi Mohd Nasir attended both the meeting, whilst the cyclist had their own traing session
f) Swimming – 14:00 - (National Sports Centre Meeting Facility (Squash court area)
Sazali Salleh attended the meeting.
Team Malaysia’s training schedules and report is:
- Athletics
- As it was raining lightly yesterday afternoon, the 2 athletes, rested but went to have a look at the competition venue and traing track.
- Badminton- 11:30:12:30 at Competition Hall

The Opening Ceremony was held at the Isle of Man Stadium from 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm. It was officiated by HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. Team Malaysia marched into the Stadium lead by Team Leader, Mr Rosmanizam Abdullah while Zulfadli Zulkiffli was the flag bearer.
