Malaysia beat India 2-1
Tan Yan Xin beat A. Anaka 2/11, 11/7, 3/11, 11/9, 11/5
Vanessa Raj beat Saumya Karki 11/5, 13/11, 3/11, 11/7
Yong Sue Ann lost to B. Aparajitha 7/11, 12/10, 11/8, 11/7
The girls performed magnificently and the reward was beating India and in the process drawing Singapore in the semis.
Yan Xin put on a great performance to upset Anaka despite being 2-1 down to give the other girls a boost.
Sue Ann then started well and was nearly 2-0 up but could not close the 2nd game and eventually lost it 3-1 in a very tight encounter.
Vanessa then stepped up and put on a performance that was incredibly mature beyond her age to give us the match.
This augurs well for us as 3 of our girls can still play for a few more editions.
