Malaysia beat Singapore 2-0
Tan Yan Xin beat Mao Shi Hui 11/5/, 11/8, 13/11
Celine Yeap beat Sherilyn Yang 11/7, 13/11, 11/8
The girls did what was expected but not without some hiccups along the way. They will play Hong Kong tomorrow who beat India 2-0
Boys
Malaysia lost to India 2-0
Muhd. Zul Azri lost to Ramit 11/5, 11/7, 11/2
Sanjay Singh lost to Mahesh Mangaonkar 11/8, 11/7, 11/4
India proved too good against our boys. The boys did put on a good performance and gave their all but the very experienced Indian boys played the crucial rallies well and it told.
Malaysia beat Sri Lanka 3-0
Muhd. Zul Azri beat Gihan Suwaris 11/9, 11/1, 11/8
Mohd. Addeen Idrakie beat Binura Jayasuriya 8/11, 11/5, 4/11, 11/6, 11/3
Sanjay Singh beat Dilshan Gunawardene 11/0, 11/2, 11/4
Azri and Sanjay gave the team the win when both of them dispatched their opponents 3-0. Addeen on the other hand struggled to beat his opponent due to his inability to get length.
The boys will play India in the semis and the girls will play Singapore later in the evening.
